although the camp was tiring, i definitely learn much from it, especially with regards to leadership. so now i can say that i'm a better leader! on a random note, i knew like at least 5 persons who were sick after the camp, inculding me. i've had too much to say about the camp, but to cut it short and sweet, i'll juz mention the most memorable experiences.
--on the third day, all the 12 groups were punished as the teachers all had a general feeling that we were too slack and were not treating the camp seriously. it was supposed to be a leadership training camp, not some holiday camp. so each of the groups were punished in various ways. for mine, we juz had to clear up our rooms and change into full uniform for checks. however, many of us did not meet the mark cos some of us didn't have the first button buttoned. yupp and we were punished to do a 100 push ups for that. yupp so we did like 10 of them, and mark vincent our dear rugby captain suddenly shouted: " C'MON CJC! let's do this as a sch!" (or smth like that i can't really rmb the exact words) then he and ian and a few others started doing the push-ups with us. and then one by one, all 100+ of the councillor, HTCs and captains form the various CCAS all down down in push up positions. it like like siao, impressive and damn touching. can you imagine like 100+ ppl doing push ups together? and yupp so we managed to complete 100+10=110 push ups altogether. the impt thing is that the rest didn't have to do push ups but they did with us, cos we're cjcians who suffer together! and mark v really brought the CJ spirit outta us. thanks mark again!
--for my group, Captain Planet, out theme song was "stand by me". we sing it on bus journeys and while tracking and all. then then, we had a group outing after the camp. as we were walking along scotts road from DFS to shaw, we heard our song playing from a CD shop(which i forgot the name). yeah and it was damn coincidental! smth like deja vu lah damn freaky!
--i got into CJC's 33rd Student Council Ex-Co! HOD of student liaison. that's like totally wad i wanted! i join council definitely not to do catholic activities, not community involvement, but to serve the students themselves! yupp so i'm really satisfied and motivated to work for SC! if you're wondering wad student liaison is, it's a position under student activities, one which serve as the mouth of students and ear of teachers. basically i'll be in charge of listening to the pupils' needs, and reflect them to the teachers and to the activities that we are going to organize. and oh ya, our new president is Menveer. and our 3 VPs are Michael Da Silva, Joy and Jason Salim.
and i have to remove the diamond on my teeth! cos the council teacher says that that is definitely not smth i could have if i'm going to be the role model in sch. noooooooooooooooooooooo i wanna keep my diamond cos it's so sexy. but then, since i'm alrdy in council, and even a ex-co member, i gotta make some sacrifices i guess. anyway it was supposed to drop off within 6 months. but then zhen put more glue when she was putting it on my tooth. i didn't expect it to last so long though, till now it's like more than 2 years?! mad. hmm yup sp i'll remove it soon, since it shld have dropped off long ago!
AND THIS IS FUNNY YOU MUST READ. i was watching tv another day and my grandma walked pass. the topic that the tv hosts were discussing was " have you slept with your friend before?". she paused, looked at the tv, and turned to me speaking in a serious tone: " you ah, cannot sleep with gals ah you know? only can sleep with guys." LOLLOLOLOL. i was like " sleep with guys? =.="OK........" hahaha. looks like there isn't such thing as gay 80 years back.
i only got 2 weeks to mug for mid year, BUT, i've got dates coming up! one with EFOF, one with jiemeis, one with 1T18 ppl, one with my SA kbox bang, one with King Arthur and frens and probably one with mer? omg mad. i shouldn't be here anymore. mug hard and play hard ppl.
