it's gonna be another long day tml!! probably will study at the library from morning till dinner ba. fighting!!! my progress for the respective subjects are as the following:

we're making cranes for teachers recetly. how sweet right. i've folded like near a hundred alady. look at the smallest crane made by kaixiang.. and look at the comparison with the 10 cent coin.
we've had this talk last week. it's about our life journey, mainly about love and sex. it mentioned the topic about infatuation and love. i didn't know the word "crush" actually means that u have sexual desire towards another person. so is the word "infatuation". so i've been misinterpreting these words wrongly so quite some time.
it also talked about wad's true love. infatutaion is insecure. love is confident.infatuation is instant, and short-lived. love takes time to nurture, and it lasts. love is about giving yourself up for another individual's well-being and happiness.

yesterday was the last flagday i had to do for my secondary sch life. after collecting the can in the morning, went orchard library to study till about 3 before i went to collect donations. there were these two angmo chicks, they came up to me and said : " uhmm can we have somemore stickers? we lost ours" then they *point point* to their chests.
i said:" well....if u donate again, you can get a few more stickers."
chicks: " awww you're really a nice man. alright i'll donate again" then she took out her wallet and as she was taking out her money, she asked me: " uh.. are u free to go out sometime??"
then i was like: *=.="* and said: " uh no...i'm sorry."
chicks: " awww you rejected me!~~" and then she took out 5 cent and put it into my can. then they took 4 stickers and left.....
lame. i bet they were having a dare or smth.
well well, went back to study again till around 7 before heading home for dinner. after that, went to jov's house for some home party. it was damn fun lah. got BBQ and lotsa CnH2nOH. jov's mom bought over 30 bottles of vodka whith various flavours..... then we also had some strong ones like ABSOLUTE which was 40% alcohol. we were like trying out different combinations. pepsi, 7up, coke, orange juice, mango juice with naka di coco,origina. my fav was the mix with coke.ah bai and cheokman were drunk.
ah bai with the best marshmellow of the night.

lol. i drank a little bit to make myself high. haha. jov drank the most but he didn't even feel anything!! throughout the whole night we were watching soccer, playing soccer, BBQing and making grilled marshmellow!!! damn nice!!

a few ppl went home and about 7 persons stayed over. in the end we had a really wonderful chat(uh ok 50% is talk cock). you know i've been wondering, why do ppl like to drink so much. alcohol don't even taste good lah. then i've got some clues after yesterday night. sometimes ppl drink not because of the alcohol, but more of the atmosphere and the fun everyone is having. yeah somehow alcohol can juz drive you high and give you the carefree feeling. however, alcohol is a drug. an addictive drink. it'll do no benefit but only harms if it's taken too oftenly, or excessively. especially when we're still teenagers whose physique and mind are not matured yet.

ya so i guess we won't be having parties again till Os are over. by then we'll have some real crazy parties!!!
SJI rocks. and oh ya while talking about this, i juz remembered smth. while everyone were quite high yesterday night, we juz started to cheer some of our sch cheers spontaneously.....haha. yes SJI rocks a lot, especially when we only have less than 2 months left with SJI. treasure everything guys.

today was the release of chinese o level results. my class did well by obtaining the 2nd best class for the overall performance in the whole level. 10 persons got A1, 5 got A2s. the lowest was C5, no failures!! congrats to those who did well, you got wad you deserved. and i'm sorry for those who didn't do as well as expected. but if u have worked hard for it, at least you won't regret.
i appreciate your maturity and understanding. and i'll remember the times we had. thank you for everything.

hello!!
happy birthday to Singapore, and Kwokie Zai!!
watched the lake house yesterday. i love it. the music is nice, the plot is nice, the acting is superb. and the chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves was splendid. this is a romance movie, not discovery channel's time machine series, so don't treat the things inside too scientifically. heh the story was really nice, and unexpected. the way the director switch between the characters and their space was very smooth. and i love the music! (thanks to wg)
yup and went for linnette's birthday party with debbie today. linnette's so popular, as in she's got so many frens. she set up a band performance at her own house, hdb btw. i was wondering how come there were no complaint from the neighbours. well maybe ppl thought that it was some sort of national day celebration....as we were had nth much to do, we left early for dinner at ps. heh there were so many patriotic ppl wearing red colour shirts.

Haircut Issue
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this email to express my own opinions on the recent haircut issue. As I am using one hour of my own study time, I hope that you would spend five minutes of your time reading this argument.
Firstly I would like to highlight on the fact that SJI does not practice what they preach. Just yesterday, we all had a mass hair checkup. Unfortunately I was one of the students caught for sporting long hair. However I noticed that some students get preferential treatment. Consider the class of 435 and 426, most of the students have long hair, touching their collars, in your terms, unacceptable. Why did they get away Scot-free? Although Mr. Liew kept an eye out for people with long hair, they still managed to escape. This brings me to a conclusion that their form teachers must be very lenient or slack in layman???s terms. In another separate case, in 422, three students managed to get away with the haircut. When I asked one of them how did he get away, he just replied because they were special. This of course got me very frustrated; does this mean that SJI gives ???special??? treatment to ???special??? students? And I thought that our school was very fair in their judgements. In 421, one student even went further to escape from the haircut; he went out of school during curriculum time just to cut his hair. In doing so, he missed a total of four important periods. I also witnessed a scene when I was giving my name to Mr. Liew. Two students hid inside the toilet, as they wanted to escape from the haircut, unfortunately they were caught and were brought in front of Mr. Liew. As quoted from Mr. Liew ??? I don???t want to speak to you all now, just stand outside my office, I am going to suspend you from school.??? However, this was not the case, in fact, those students disappeared from classes the whole day and only came back during PSE period, with their cut outside of school. Back to the point, if the school cant even stop these students, why must the other quiet and respectful students suffer instead? Just because they are not rebellious and are much more behaved; does that mean that they have to suffer in silence by having a ridiculous haircut? When I mean ridiculous, I mean really short hair that does not suit their faces.
Which brings me to my second point. Hair being an identity. There is a saying that a man???s mane is his self-esteem. Ruin it and you ruin the man. This is why there are many hair growth advertisements shown all over the television. I would like to stress that our hair is very important to us. It gives people a good first impression. This does not mean clean, shaven and sloped. Some of us cannot have these sloped kind of hair as these style make us look like plucked chickens from the slaughterhouse. Each face is different; thus there should not be a standard haircut for everyone. At least if we are caught for haircuts, please give us the privilege to explain to the barber on how we should cut our hair. I am sure none of us would want to look like the China students with their cardboard-shaped hair. (Then again, it???s their identity.) That???s why I would like the school to acknowledge that our hair is important to us, taking it away is like taking a soft toy from a baby.
Thirdly, I know that most people relate long hair on men equals rebellious, no goal in life people. This is often untrue. Moreover, this is the 21st century, people???s mindsets have changed, has SJI???s? Of course I am not requesting for the school to allow us to have hair that extends 10 cm from the collar, I am just asking the school to allow us to have an acceptable haircut, not too short and not too long, allowing us to have no sloped styles. I have recently gone on a trip to Perth for a band exchange program with my CCA. There, we visited two Lasallian schools, Trinity College and Chrisholm College; both schools are like our secondary school levels. However, in both schools, I did not see any stringent hair rules being applied there. In fact, if my memory does not fail me, the student leader showing us around sported long unkempt blonde hair. This effectively cancels the ???We are Lasallian so therefore we must have short hair??? argument.
Lastly I feel that the school rules a very vague. According to the diary, on page 58: [Hair is to be kept clean, neat and short. It is to be trimmed and tapered and should not extend beyond 1.5cm above the collar. This does not demand overly short back and sides but precludes styling which is ragged, excessive in bulk or length, overlaps the eyes and ears or touches the collar. Side-burns are not allowed. Hair cannot be tinted or permed. Modern cuts, which unduly accentuate varying hair lengths, or the shaving of parts of the scalp, are not permitted.] Only 1 figure is mentioned in the chunk of words. The rest of the lines are very general, what does the school mean by excessive bulk or length? Different people have different interpretations of bulk and length. Some may think that it is okay to leave their hair layered (where the top layers of hair are cut shorter than the layers beneath), others might think that it is unacceptable. I noticed that the majority of the people caught for haircuts are Chinese, I have never seen Malays and seldom saw Indians. What does this represent? It is true that we Chinese tend to have longer hair as or hair are usually straight, therefore it gives an impression that our hair is long. On the other hand, Malays tend to have curly hair, it gives an impression that their hair is short, only unkempt. Is this fair to the Chinese committee? SJI ???s rule of hair is very vague; it should be more flexible, not too rigid. I would like to emphasis that I am not racist, I am merely stating facts. I feel that some teachers are biased or just plain blind (pardon my rudeness). In the recent haircut, my form tutor caught my friend and me. However, our hair was not that long, in fact mine was acceptable and my friend???s was short. She constantly reminded me that my hair was thick, and I needed a haircut. Is it my fault that my hair grows faster than other people? Imagine having to go to the barber every fortnight. For you information, I am not made of gold. As the famous Mark Twain saying ???The difference between the right word and the almost-right word is the difference between the lightning and the lightning-bug???. This means that everyone is different. I would like the school to recognize this fact. I hope that you will consider these points.
I have always been the quiet reserved and non-rebelling type of student. But this time I feel that I should speak up, and confirm my student rights in SJI. Once again this essay is based on my opinions, if I have insulted anyone, I would like to apologize, but most of my points are based on facts that I have compiled. ok well. i tried to analyse why today is so screwed. hmm i realised that there're many things special about today. i shan't list them in chronological order as it won't make sense. so let's see wad's so special about today.
--i put gel in the morning in order to hide my long hair.
--i tried out a new busline to sch, which is actually faster than the original route i have been taking(for 3 n a half years)by 10 minute.
--some unknown ppl from dno wad class joined my soccer match out of no where.
and these things i have listed are all happening for the first time in the year.
everything seems to be pissing me off today. i juz list down as much as i can remember.
--played rugby during PE, and my team totally sucked. ppl who juz finished their NAPFA retest joined my team out of no where and we juz played like shit.
--my soccer ball got ocnfiscated during chinese period sa randall was kicking it and the teacher saw it. and wad made it worst was that randall did nth about that and juz went for recess. i had to beg the teacher for the ball, in which she still didn't return me. eventually i took it back when the teacher left cos she left it in the class. lateron i asked randall whether he was gonna do anything to the ball if i didn't ask it back. he said nth. wel, no hard feelings but i juz thought that it's damn irresponsible. probably i was juz having pms or the whole day lah. so everything seem to piss me off.
--while playing soccer, there were this 2 ppl whom i don't know. and they juz stood in the middle of handball court. so i went to ask me: " are you all playing soccer?" they said ya. so i asked again : " who said you can play?" then one of the guys said: "me".....zzz. k probably again i was having pms, but i really felt like slapping their faces. but i juz left and continued with my game.
--then for the whole day everything seem to be wrong. ppl are daoing me. showing me attitude.
--after sch i wanted to continue with the soccer game, so i went to the field and saw a few ppl resting there, most probably taking a break off the soccer game. so i joined and waited for everyone to be ready. but juz when everyone were ready, and we were going to make team, brother michael walked pass and asked everyone without PE attire to get off the field. then 70% of the ppl left, and i haven't even touched the ball. SIAN AH.
--and oh, i saw Mr 156 at the busstop when i was going home. he kept staring at me. juz when i wanted to tell him i would dig out his eye balls out if he continues to stare at me, he took a bus and left....
so ya..that's about it. my bad day. hopefully everything will be alright after a little nap. byebye my patient reader. and have a nice day^.^
